Desperate to end its six-game losing streak, Canberra has called on Matt Orford to turn its NRL season around against Wests Tigers on Sunday.
After missing the past two matches with a back injury, Orford will line up at half-back for the cellar-dwellers at Canberra Stadium.
The Raiders are without a victory since round one and Canberra coach David Furner acknowledges that the round 8 clash with the Tigers is a must-win.
He said the team would be better for the return of 2008 premiership half-back Orford.
"Matty's experience [is something] we probably need it at this stage ... Matty will be a good inclusion," Furner told reporters.
Young half Sam Williams, who deputised in Orford's absence, drops back to Toyota Cup.
Furner said his team's capitulation after leading 12-0 at half-time in last Sunday's game against Newcastle, when it conceded 22 second-half points, was unacceptable.
"It's not acceptable to play that sort of second half and expect to win," Furner said.
