Cameron Smith has capped off another stellar season after winning Melbourne's Player of the Year award.
Smith collected the award following a year in which he captained the Storm to a premiership victory and led Queensland to a seventh-straight State of Origin series triumph.
He also won the Dally M Hooker of the Year award.
It is the fifth occasion Smith has been awarded the Storm's top individual honour, having polled 28 votes to finish ahead of Ryan Hoffman (26) and Clive Churchill medallist Cooper Cronk (23).
Smith also won the award from 2005 to 2007 and last season.
In other awards announced at the Melbourne Convention Centre on Friday, Hoffman was named best forward and Cronk best back.
The 19-year-old Mahe Fonua, a product of the Victorian junior system, took out the Rookie of the Year award.
