Storm still looking for improvement

Posted April 20, 2011 17:16:00

Dismissing his side's position at the top of the ladder, Melbourne back rower Adam Blair says the Storm are far from playing perfect football.

The Storm have done a demolition job on most of their recent opponents, including a 25-10 away victory over the Panthers last round and have lost just one match from six.

Ahead of their next clash, against the Warriors in Melbourne on ANZAC Day, Blair says they still need to improve.

"Individually, everyone has something to work on each week," Blair said.

"I don't think anyone has had a perfect game, I think there's always something there that you want to work on to get better."

Blair says he has confidence the Storm will still succeed in 2011 despite the massive turnover in playing talent.

"We had to wait until the first game to see how we'd turn out, but so far, so good," he said.

The 25-year-old Blair, who is relishing the Storm's flamboyant playing style this season, says no-one in the club is getting carried away with their position on the ladder.

"We haven't spoken about it, it's about playing every game to the best of our ability," he said.

The Kiwi international says he hopes to have his playing future decided "sooner rather than later" and that he hopes to follow other recent re-signings Billy Slater, Matt Duffie, Ryan Hinchliffe and Kevin Proctor and stay in Melbourne.
