Warren Ryan Medal: Round 15

Cronulla captain Paul Gallen assumed the lead in the Warren Ryan Medal voting following round 15 of the NRL.

Gallen, backing up from his heroic performance as New South Wales skipper in State of Origin II, topped the 3-2-1s only four days later in the Sharks' 26-10 win over Canterbury at the Olympic stadium on Sunday.

He heads the standings on 21 votes, two ahead of North Queensland co-captain Johnathan Thurston.
